DCPsych Academic Co-ordinator, Part-time (2.5 days per week)

Applications are invited for this part-time administrative post; the post is for up to six months, with working days being Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday mornings. The post will operate alongside our current DCPsych Senior Academic Co-ordinator who is also on a half-time contract. The idea is that with two half time posts the DCPsych and the staff team will have full time administrative support.

This post involves the provision of comprehensive administrative support to the DCPsych programme as a whole; this includes both DCPsych candidates and the staff. There is also the requirement to liaise with other administrative staff at the Institute and to play a full part in taking phone calls and relevant messages, and generally participating in the life of the administrative office.

The following competencies are essential to this role: Excellent interpersonal skills and a good telephone manner; excellent IT skills that cover the use of all office software; a capacity to work in a precise and professional way; and an ability to remain unflappable in the face of competing demands. Knowledge of Moodle and its use in higher education would also be desirable.

Salary: c£26,000 pro rata per annum.
