2010-2011  Authorship of the National Curriculum for CfD  Counselling for Depression-an IAPT approved, NICE recommended, evidence based approach to depression developed for the IAPT programme and derived from person centred and experiential approaches In collaboration with Andy Hill, Director of  Research at BACP and Helen Coles, Head of Professional Standards, BACP

2010- on-going Training and assessment nationally of the first wave of fully qualified counsellors, counselling psychologists and psychotherapists and supervisors in this approach to become qualified to provide CfD within the IAPT programme

2011 QAA Benchmarking for Counselling and Psychotherapy Member of the Committee for agreeing the first ever benchmarking of content and level of trainings in these subject areas 

August 2011 BACP Awards for commitment to excellence in counselling and psychotherapy nomination (with Ros Sewell) for long term commitment to excellence in counseling young people from a person-centred/ humanistic perspective

  • Avatar-Based Counselling for Young People vs. Treatment as Usual within Secondary School Settings: A Pilot Study. ProReal, University of Roehampton & Metanoia Institute
  • Member Expert Reference Group for BACP to develop a National Curriculum for Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Young people
  • (October 2015) Member Evidence Based Counselling Curriculum Group for NHS England working with Health Education England to develop a CYP IAPT counselling curriculum. The aim of the group is to develop a standardised evidence-based curriculum, to be implemented by educational providers, for training counsellors/other practitioners to deliver a NICE-compliant evidence based counselling interventions.
