Kate Thompson
Kate Thompson is an existential counsellor and a journal therapist. Her affiliations include: core faculty at theTherapeutic Writing Institute, tutor, supervisor at the New School of Counselling and Psychotherapy.She isaformer vice-chairofLapidus. After a first degree in English Literature at the University of Cambridge, she taught and lectured in variouskinds of writing & literature, then trained as a counsellor and worked in the NHS & private practice for 15 years until moving to Colorado in 2010. Integrating expressive writing and existential therapy is the core of her practice with individuals, couples and groups. She has written extensively on expressive writing andtherapy and runs courses on the use of writing as a therapeutic tool for counsellors and healing practitioners. Kate lives in the Rocky Mountains above Boulder, Colorado.
