A Message for All New Students in Faculty One

A Message for All New Students in Faculty One

Dear Student,

A very warm welcome to Metanoia Institute!

Congratulations on receiving your place to study with us and embarking on the journey ahead. I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to meet you during the coming year, but in the meantime, please read the important information below about your programme induction.

Despite the unusual circumstances we find ourselves in at the start of this academic year, our aim is to make the start of your studies as smooth as possible. For this reason, we shall be presenting a full online induction experience this year. A series of videos will allow you to engage with induction in your own time, hearing from your Director of Studies and other key staff within Metanoia Institute about your programme and the support and services available as you begin your learning.

Please be aware, this information differs from the induction time that was provided to you in earlier correspondence from admissions. I apologise for the incorrect details that were sent out earlier. A link to the online induction materials will be sent to you during next week.

Our aim is to send this on Wednesday 9th, as we are currently in the process of editing and processing the material. The benefit of the online induction is that it will be available for viewing, and re-viewing, throughout your first term at Metanoia Institute.

I shall also be running a lecture and Q&A session on Writing for Academic Purposes and Academic Integrity in the early part of the term.

This will be a live event, via Zoom, and I will offer 3 separate dates so that you may choose to attend the one that is most convenient for you. I also look forward to this opportunity to meet you, albeit virtually.

Dates for this lecture session will be advertised shortly.May I wish you every success for the coming term.

I hope that you enjoy the start of our academic year, and please do make contact with me, your Director of Studies or Academic Co-ordinator should the need arise.

With very best wishes, Professor Carrie Weston Deputy CEO
